Array ( [sid] => 8613 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => Sunrise 1.1 [time] => 2002-12-15 08:00:00 [hometext] => I have no clue where to put this, but it's a rewrite of the first poem I ever posted online, not really about anyone...just something I wrote based off a dream I had a long time ago [bodytext] => With moist sand between our toes, shifting with our weight
Sharing soft kisses, becoming butterflies in the wind
The sweetness of honey upon your breath
Like incense burned for some distant god, far away.
The innocent tone of your voice, mixing with the waves
As the sea breeze playfully runs through your hair
The gentleness of the tide, pulling us out to sea
The houses lining the shore, now a distant memory
Glaring upward, from our spot in the sand
Each star, a lifetime we’ve waited for this moment
While waiting for our first sunrise, counting seconds
10, 9, 8, 7,the sky turns red in anticipation
6,5,…. We lose count because we were locked in a passionate
kiss.
That would make Hollywood beg for a better scene
But all isn’t lost because we know we’ll always have tomorrow
So we don’t regret missing this precious date
The first time the sun rose for us
