Array ( [sid] => 86044 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Beautiful Children [time] => 2005-02-28 22:53:21 [hometext] => I wrote this for all of my young cousins, who have already seen far more then they should have to. [bodytext] => Beautiful children
Innocence surrounds you.
As the world tries to tear you,
To bring tears to your eyes
You show it love.
Children, you give all your love
Hold no grudges,
See no reason to hurt
Until the world shows you how
Until the love is thrown back at you
Slammed in your face
Until you learn to hate.
Your innocent mind is tainted,
and your smiles become impure.
I love you with all my heart
I know I cannot protect you.
The lessons will come,
And you will have to learn
But my promise to you,
Every one of your beautiful souls.
I will do all I can
To show you
That as the pain comes
As the anger spreads
As you learn to hate
That you can still love.
Your small hands,
I will always hold.
As your tears fall,
I will come to catch them,
And I will be there to remind you
That even when it seems as if
No one loves you anymore
God is still there,
Watching you, letting you grow
Giving you lessons.
I will be there to tell you
That you are never alone,
And even when the day comes
When you no longer trust me
When you no longer believe me
I will be there.
Protecting you is futile,
But I will never let you go down alone
I will not let you wander
Down the path I took,
Without a hand to hold
Someone to pull you back up.
Hate me when you will
Love me when you can
But never forget that
God is always there,
and as His beautiful children,
you are never alone.

I do not agree with all of it about children but I will always agree that God will be there. Very emotional and the love radiates from it. Well done.
