Of sin did reek,
and selfishness too.

God sent me rain;
T'was as He should.
He brought me pain;
T'was for my good.

His chastening hand'
Has purpose indeed.
Quinching desire,
While supplying need.

Now - clearly, I see,
Through mercy's light,
How God; for me,
Bestowed true sight.

We are blessed by that rain
though it's so hard to see
the blessings poured out
on you and on me
I thank you much
for this insightful poem
and set my eyes
on my heavenly home.

Yes indeed - you gained deep "Insight" All the Lord does is for our best, even though it may hurt.
But after all who hurt more than the Son of God. Why should we not have a share in that suffering?
Thank you Lionel for this reminder., so beautifully penned,
Happy Easter!
Blessings
Elizabeth

A brilliant write....
You wrote this so well....
you can see things happen for a reason...
the part you wrote...
Now clearly I see
Through mercy's light
How God for me
Bestowed true sight!
I loved it all but expecially that part.
Thanks! Cheers!~

Isn't our Father beautiful and so kind, to be a true Father to His children. He does not punish us, He speaks to us, asks us to obey His word, and then He will see to our needs. People often ask why the Lord is not with us when parts of the world is falling apart. If we obey Him, we will be safe. Because of the lack of belief and trust, lots of places, people and things go to hell.
