and mine completely gone,
will we still be in love,
will we still get in on?
Wrinkled old lovers
doing the please hurry up,
or young in our own eyes
drinking from each other’s cup.
Will we have time to find
what it means to age,
will our lives be long?
Will our love be a cage
for two hungry souls
pacing in captivity:
or dreamers holding hands
walking sands along the sea?
All answers lie before us,
hidden by what’s yet to be.
Answer this and we begin:
“Will you marry me?”
