A tiny misprint within a fabric’s
flowery design. A smudge of ink
upon an artist’s canvas.

An anomaly in the fabric of time.

Slightly off kilter and revolving
around one’s own sun where the
gravity is light and the soul is
allowed to float freely amongst
the shining stars.

A beautiful soul cast aside,
ignored, but most of all –
forgotten.

So many grains of sand flowing
through the hourglass,
souls drowning in time’s wake
only to leave faint little marks
within the fabric of time.

Little anomalies, which make
their designs upon the page,
as individual souls paint themselves
upon time.

But, look there!
A tear in the fabric,
if you will.
What appears to be a
single thread,
loosened from the
shawl of the universe,
hangs like a tiny little rope.

One little grain of sand
makes its valiant escape.

We are all anomalies in time,
yet those who stray even further
out of the lines are the true ones,
free souls that know nothing of –

Little Anomalies

It's a poignant metaphor, TS. "those who stray even further out of the lines are the true ones" Especially that thought there. Blessings.

It is said that seeing something from the other side can give you a whole different perspective. Looking back on my life, I certainly see it far differently than I did looking forward. Interesting write.
