But a greedy mind hears not such things.
It hears what is fair for itself,
And what is foul for others,
Blind to fortune’s consequence.

We show things for what they are.
The reaction a mirror of the soul.
How one uses our prophecy reveals
Some of the man you can expect to find inside.

Great men heed us not,
Fate and destiny unraveling as life happens.
It is the greedy that constantly beg to know,
Needing some sort of assurance and guidance;
Their subconscious knowing they are destined for failure.

Our words like a spider web,
Beautiful and intricate.
Yet before you are aware you are
Caught and tangled.

The weak souls crave it.
Like an addicting drug.
Their life must be laid out before them.
Destiny set in stone,
And us the interpreters.
But in telling their fate, did we not just fool with destiny?

For if we never foretold, would it have ever come to pass?

As perusual, very well written... even if it was for a class. Well done none the less... good job.
