[hometext] => Summer through the eyes of a child.
[bodytext] => Skating upon Small gentle seeds, Soft as the Malleable clouds e. v o b a Firm as the Shining bubbles B l o w n By young children, Expanding as if to (hug) The moist, warm air Escaping from between Supple pillow lips, Under flushed, rosy cheeks that Smile high in the Balmy summer sun as Crisp, green grass Tickles Tiny toes. Welcoming pond dirt to Cling and clutch at Teeny toenails, while Roaming hands Eagerly seek The elusive ink-skinned frog, Or the trembling tadpole, Dancing within Time-warmed oceans Within the backyard. Cooling slowly as the Smouldering summer sun S i n k s Softly, Past dandelion-dotted hills. Embracing the arrival of Quickly-flashing lightning bugs To be Locked up Within an age-old Peanut butter jar, Long since empty. Patiently awaiting its None-too-onerous task Of housing the unhurried; captured, Before being released, Back into the cool night air, To become a feast For some swooping bat. O, unfortunate firefly, Thou hast wasted thine life, With simple worries; Too consuming, which, In the end, Cost you dearly. Alas, poor firefly, Rest thine heart and Live within mine; Knowing always that It’s for the best. No more skating upon Gentle seeds. Not for you.
