Array ( [sid] => 7876 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => Love Letters [time] => 2002-12-03 08:30:00 [hometext] => =) thought I would share where I get my inspiration to write about Amy so much, it's from the poetry of our past, and the comments she leaves me on other sites [bodytext] => Looking back into our love’s memories
Digging through pages of conquering insecurities
Of times, into each other’s eyes we silently gazed
And the moments we dealt with love’s growing pains

Reading the story, of a knight and his queen
And how they fought for a love, never before seen
Reminiscing of the ooo’s and ah’s of those looking in
Bringing to my moistened lips, a tight happy grin

Then coming across stories of erotic pleasure
The Queen Bee getting her fill of sweet nectar
And night’s filled with scorching hot desires
It looks like I’m not the only one who can start a fire

Then a tale of sorrow, as we almost walked away
And your poems of lament, hoping I would return someday
Of a touch of an angel’s heart, and things I still don’t understand
But an eventual reuniting that would lead us to where we stand

There are of course, mistakes I made along the way
I’ll gladly admit, I’m not perfect in written word, or things I say
Even my most beautiful I love you’s to me seem incomplete
And I won’t deny many time, I wrote while tears leaked

While you don’t write as much about me as you did before
Your words still carry a deep meaning I cannot nor will not ignore
For my hope for the future, I always have the love letters of our past
The poems we’ve exchanged, will always be the light, on my heart’s mast [comments] => 2 [counter] => 226 [topic] => 2 [informant] => J_Ganey [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LovePoetry )

Gotta love memories! Even just sifting through them in your mind can be amazing. No one is perfect, and no love is ever perfect. I don't know about you, but I wouldn't want it to be! I mean, where's the fun in that? lol
