Array ( [sid] => 7869 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => Just Like Me [time] => 2002-12-03 05:00:00 [hometext] => This poem is for all those who are going through some problems, and want to make it better for themselves.
[bodytext] => I've been throught things
Things that you try to forget
Things that your past won't let go yet
Then the rain turns to snow
'Cause your life has been cold
And it's hard struggling up the right road
When your body is froze
And the only heat you have is from the streets
And from your heartbeat

Check

Is it still there?
If it is then the battle is not yet lost
You still have time to think about your life
And how to make it better for you
Don't worry what everyone else is up to
Just worry 'bout you
And when you feel that you have fulfilled the thirst to set your soul free
Then you can help those who really are in need

Not trying to seem stingy
But you have to deal with you first
Because beleive me things could be mush worse

And throughout this world filled with thorns and ice
It seems that throughout my whole life I've been cursed
But I can look the devil in the eye and say do your worst
Because everyday I pray that God has kept a spot in his palace for me
'Cause that is the last step to take
To be truly free

So when you look back in your past
Remember how long the pain has last
Yet you have overcome

Along the long and narrow path
You see the ones you loved so much
Who have all felt death's touch
Who tried to better their life
But it was too late, for the world to see
But you and God know
How much good this person worked to acheive

Along the cold hard road
Remember to never bend your knees in failure
Because if you do
You have given up on you

I gained all my wisdom on this same road
I've learned that during times,
Life can be cold and harsh
And leave you standing in the dark
But you must be strong and carry on
So later you can step on those who have done you wrong

So keep singing the song of victory
So that you can make it through your struggles
