And you should know you are deluded
Consider all is simple
And most meaning is denuded

For simple minds it is comforting
To perceive in black and white
But the consequences for others
Can be dark as night

Regard all dictators past
And all repressive regimes
They needed simple lies
To further all their schemes

Black/White
Right/Wrong
Scapegoats and Whipping Boys
It's all a familiar song

And now the blinded born-agains
Want to sell us all this stuff
Broadcasting peurile lies
As if there were not enough

And locked in with them the Neo Cons
Simple solutions destined to fail
It all sounds good at the drawing board
As into hell they sail

And who in the end is the victim
of all these simplistic lies?
Who in the end writhes in pain?
Who is the one who dies?

Not the comfrotable bigot
screaming in his 'church'
Not the prejudiced pundit
leaving OTHERS in the lurch

No, it is those far away
Who live their complex lives
So many innocents have to die
For what a bigot believes

See the world as simple
And you should know you are deluded
Consider all is simple
And most meaning is denuded

For simple minds it is comforting
To perceive in black and white
But the consequences for others
Can be dark as night

This is very interesting.
You are very welcome to your views on religion.
I agree it does cause alot of problems in the world and for many that arent religious.
I am religious myself but I agree with you on your views.
I do not agree with all the strict prejuiced rules in the church........
........if my church knew what i got up to in my past i would be cast out!
But I feel that i can worship God how ever i please and not follow their stone age rules.
