From years of being used & abused,
Being hurt over & over again,
It is battered from all the pain.

You cradle it in your loving arms,
Try & keep it from coming to harm,
But the cold still manages to seep through,
Makes me shiver & it makes me feel blue.

It hurts sometimes as it beats so slow,
I think I’ll feel pain as long as the wind blows,
I feel each knock that life throws my way,
I never thought for so long it would stay.

Can you tell me that I can win?
I can crawl out of the depression bin,
It follows me around like a big, dark cloud,
Not letting me smile as I am not allowed.

Hold my heart & please don’t you drop it,
Lift me up out of this dark & dingy pit,
Love me like you’ve never loved before,
Help me to one day swim to the shore.

it's been a while since i last heard from you... sorry to hear that you still feel so bad.
"you're always gonna have these scars.
it's just i question of letting them go"... or at least that''s what people say to me. if only they know how HARD and PAINFUL that is!
... *sob*
any way... best luck for the future...

To read such an overwhelmingly sad poem like this has left an impression on me.. I used to suffer from depression, but it does get better if the right person helps! :) I thought this was an amazing poem..xx Carly
