What makes a poet
this day in age?
All I see is
jumbled up words on a page.

I fight and strive
all hours of night,
trying to make sense of it all
I won't give up my fight.

Words come to me
when I lay my head down,
can't write them fast enough
my mind starts to drown.

What makes a poet?
I'm sure I don't know,
all I hear is words
they begin to echo.

What makes a poet
this day in age?
All I see is
jumbled up words on a page.

I fight and strive
all hours of night,
trying to make sense of it all
I won't give up my fight.

Words come to me
when I lay my head down,
can't write them fast enough
my mind starts to drown.

What makes a poet?
I'm sure I don't know,
all I hear is words

I have manic attacks when I write for hours on end so I relate to that very well.. in the tub, there's the rub..in the bed, till I'm dead; Every room, grab the broom.. LOL. sounds like rap..bunch of crap!!! yep..manic panic!!! but that doesn't mean I'm a poet and I know it...:-(
