Array ( [sid] => 7564 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => WHY [time] => 2002-11-27 17:00:00 [hometext] => This poem was written for my son Scott who became very ill at age 7yrs. He was in the hospital for 3 months the first time, where he almost died. [bodytext] => Do you ever wonder why?
We are suppose to have a piece of the American pie.
Tragedy strikes or illnesses become apart of our lives.
Who cares, you say, everyone seems to say their goodbyes.
Why me?, I wonder why.
I feel bad inside and start to cry.
Then, I see beyond myself,
I do have all the weath.
It is not the piece of the American pie,
It is something inside myself, I sigh.
It is God who has made me, and all that I am to be,
Even He directs the path I am to go, you see.
Is it the piece of the American pie I should really care?
No, it is the love between God and I we share.
Now I do not have to think to wonder why.
I see clearly now that the why's and American pie are like the big blue sky.
They are all apart of our lives, but one thing for sure,
God and I are part of the cure. [comments] => 1 [counter] => 168 [topic] => 21 [informant] => angelrae [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Lifepoems )
