Many of his masks
Look like his face is troubled
Is he terribly held captive
By his own emotions?
Should he plead
His case with
A jury of himself
In the court of the serene?

How is he supposed
To find himself
If he's trying
Desperately
To hide from himself?

Perpetuate
It perpetuates
Yet man cannot
Breath life into and thus create
Itself
Perpetuating
The cycle of man
Increasing in nature
Developing culture
Industrializing nations
Mass-producing
Sensationalizing headlines
Young lad, it's time for beddy-by

Where
Where do you go
When you sleep?
Do you dream?
Or do you dream a false dream?
Of lying awake in bed
Rubbing your eyes until they're red
Are you asleep?
Asleep yet, kid?
Is it your nighttime fears
You just cannot get rid?

He says he's not sure
About energy so pure
He'd rather think it over
But it could be over
The longer he thinks
Everything so precious; in a wink

Waking up from newly implanted dreams
Everything is not exactly what it seems

Have all of yesterday's thoughts been retrieved?
So again they may be reused
For we would not want
The lad to be relieved

They are zeroing in on
All of your fears
They are crunching numbers
And turning your fierce gears

Soon you will be just fine
Lad, I think you will have a wonderful mind
Yes, your friend took you to the right place
Where zeroing in on the fears you try to escape

Very thought provoking personal truths, and essential poetry to be written down and shared in a forum is particularly appreciative of good material such as this. Tiffany J. (Red_October)

Wow Lee, that really struck home here. Indecisive hesitation can indeed allow for missed chances and opportunity. Some things may be worth waiting for ... but there are other choices and decisions that should not be debated too long, for they will be "in a wink" gone.

Nazmythian ~
