Array ( [sid] => 67898 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Waiting for the lamb [time] => 2004-10-18 06:48:24 [hometext] => two different sorts of people waiting for judgement. [bodytext] => They stood waiting at the golden gates,
they pushed,
they shoved,
trying to get past the guard,
the guard told them they must be patient,
waiting,
they were waiting for the lamb.

She stood alone,
waiting her turn,
all her dreams lay inside,
but,
how could she deserve this,
The guard noticed her and smiled,
waiting,
she was waiting for the lamb.

They were growing impatient,
“just let us through,” they shouted,
“you will find our name,”
waiting,
they were waiting for the lamb.

She trembled with fear and excitement,
yet,
she felt so unworthy,
she did not deserve this,
waiting,
she was waiting for the lamb.

They heard the sound of footsteps,
and grew excited with anticipation,
“we will get through,”
they had no doubt,
waiting,
they were waiting for the lamb.

She heard the lamb approaching,
and became nervous,
she was excited,
she was fearful,
waiting,
she was waiting for the lamb.

Jesus was approaching,
the sinless lamb of God.
the people were waiting,
waiting for his judgement,
approaching,
he was approaching.

They saw the lamb,
eager to pass,
they wanted to pass by the judgement,
the lamb stood silently,
waiting,
they were waiting for the lamb.

She saw the lamb ahead,
he smiled at her and then turned to those ahead,
she saw the tear,
slide down his face,
as she stood,
waiting,
she was waiting for the lamb.

They faced their moment of judgement,
His love for them they could see in his eyes,
but a single tear,
told the truth,
they pleaded,
yet,
he had tried for them so many times,
his love for them,
they had chosen not to accept,
turned away,
they were turned away.

She stepped up to face the lamb,
she fell before him and wept,
“Oh, I am not worthy,
I have done so much against you.”
“My child,
I have found your name,
here in the book,
it tells the truth.”
“Oh I am not worthy,”
“Do you not realise,
It was I who paid the price,
I died for you,
your sins have been forgiven,”
welcomed,
she had been welcomed in. [comments] => 1 [counter] => 155 [topic] => 11 [informant] => all4jesus_teen [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 3 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => ChristianPoetry )
