[bodytext] =>

I feast upon your vision,
Here within the depths
You voice a knife into my heart
As I weep astride the steps.

Your beauty is unusual,
A cast of the divine
My face is of the Devil,
But I will make you mine.

Once I walked among you,
The creatures of the earth
Until I was disfigured,
Undergoing this rebirth.

Down here I am the Master,
The sewers are my realm
The dark is my dominion,
My desires at the helm.

Soon I値l write my masterpiece,
Inspired by your voice
The music notes will then unleash
Your power to rejoice.

Let no-one stand between us,
I値l tolerate no divide
I値l win you through my music,
And seduce a Phantom bride.

I値l make a kingdom for you,
A cathedral carved in stone
We値l shed our masks and live as one
In the depths,
just us,

Alone. [comments] => 5 [counter] => 202 [topic] => 13 [informant] => spike [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 35 [ratings] => 7 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )

OMG spike, this was flipping BRILLIANT!!!!! How I loved it!
And I am still having a laugh at the little blurb you posted at the top.
Your love life.....hahaha, not likely dude. That's MY love life!
Honestly though, this was inspiring. I'm still reeling. What a write.

You have done the Phantom justice here.... with just the right amount of melancholia within the lines to make him undeniably human. I've seen PoTO, and honestly - I think I prefer the poem. Well done, Spike!

Hoping for your own happy ending,
SNM
