I sit here and think...why?
why did the army send your family away?
why did they have to ruin the only thing I wanted so much...
I wanted so much for you to stay
you live across seas, its so far away...
I wish we could see each other I say each day
you were my best friend then, you are my best friend now,
and the memories, they will never fade,
for you live in my heart, and you are with me each day
you understand everything I go through,
most of it you go through too,
this is probably why I love you so much
and this is probably why i'm so stuck
i'm so stuck on our friendship
and yet so stuck on the pain...
but, one day sweet we will meet again,
i'm sure we'll still be the best of friends
and i'm sure i'll cry and hold on tight,
for never again do I want to say goodbye. I miss you so much,
it makes me want to cry

Aw, so bitter sweet... My husband is in the af and we got sent overseas and I had to leave my best friend of 11 years. It is so hard becasue you just want to be able to hang out or even talk on the phone w/out a $100 phone bill. I hope you two get stationed near each other again!
