How I miss my little one, Ailie Anna, we had such fun,
How must I take, the summer sun, when my eyes have but the rains,
shall my Ailie share her smiley, to take away such pains,
Who would of known you'd float away, so quick on snowy day,
shall I bring my smile back, the one I put away,
Ailie Anna, how we miss the smiles that you brought, and all the memories that you left for us, it seems we feel caught,
Oh, little one, of sixteen years, who marked our hearts with such be tears,
shall you know you brought such smiles, be such the little years,
Oh my smile shall never fade, be you young and now set free,
should it be our Ailie Anna, the angel that we see,
Little one, what should we do, should we think about the sun,
and remember we had a cherub, be your years on earth be done,
Little smile we taught you well, be the rainbow we now see,
I taught you of his promise, and he granted it for thee,
Ailie Anna, Smiley Anna, you are now, home free!

Hi Valerie

What beautiful words you've written about little Ailie. Your poem paints a vivid picture of her and the wonderful love you share.

As you say, she's home now, but I'm sure she'll always be holding your hand, too.

A poem close to the heart.
A very well written poem,
you expressed your emotions
well and can practically imagine
little Allie.

Valerie no wonder you write such incisive verse. You have been through so much.
I'm such a coward and can only take small doses. That tells you how good it is.
