Truth and lies, truth and lies…
You were misunderstood Rummy?
The truth is they’ve pressured you
So now you are the dummy?

What’s exactly to MISUNDERSTAND in the following…?

‘Rumsfeld, during a question-and-answer session before the Council on Foreign Relations, had been asked to explain the connection between Saddam and Osama bin Laden's al Qaeda network -- one of the U.S. arguments for launching a war on Iraq.

He replied:

'To my knowledge, I have not seen any strong, hard evidence that links the two.'

Is that not CLEAR?
What’s to MISUNDERSTAND?

Did they lean on you?
Instill some fear?
Make a hard demand?

“We can’t tell the TRUTH!!!!”
“My God man, do you want to bring us DOWN???!”
“Keep telling our agreed-upon LIES!!!”
“Or we’ll run your ass from town!!!”

Poor Rummy has done it again
His foot is in his mouth
And all his lying colleagues
See their prospects heading south

Oh Rummy, perhaps you’re not so bad
At least you speak your mind
You don’t feel too comfortable with lies
But speak just as you find

You are brave or stupid speaking out of turn
For as a politician there’s a rule you learn
If the truth does not serve too well
Ignore it or you’ll end in hell

The politician’s truth is what serves THEM best
And just keep lyin’ like all the rest!

lies are used to manipulate the public for political reasons to keep themselves in power and for the common good in a politicians eyes.
