If ever
In life I were told in a whisper
I've got only one day
Left, and all the things I have to say
Must be told before I go
Away
What would I say, to let go?

To my grandma I'd tell her
I know I've never said
In words what my heart speaks
Regrets have dampened this,
But in my life and ways
I think you got to know
What I'm trying to say
I love you, and thank you
I believe in you, every day

And Jenny, it's new, this
Being close, and already I know
Taken away, I would miss
The calls and visits
Every day you're in my heart
I hope we're never too far apart
I'll always need my older sister
Hadn't known I'd already missed her

Deanna, how lucky I am
To have a cousin so much closer
Than I could have ever asked for
To laugh with, trust, and share my thoughts
Things I'd never thought to say aloud
Until you showed me I could lift clouds
By letting someone know, and for that
I'll be forever grateful, I love you

Great Grandma, just the thought of you
Brings forth so many memories
And what to say, I do not know
Just that I'll never ever let you go
You've always stood for what is real
Never slipping or falling into what I'd known
You are the constant love
I'm still being shown

I'd say to Jeff, to make him see
He truly is important to me
We joke and fight, but always will
My brother, my friend, playmate til the end
I love you, never forget it
I'll stand for you always, I won't let you down
You've taught me so much
About a bond in strings, and yet bound
Keep the same, stay found

Steve, Quentin, and Gavin
Three great men
I love you all, it's great
To have a family this way
I can count on and look for
I wait for the future, in smiles I see
These great boys, growing and so close to me
With the dad, and a cousin, I know will be
Forever in my heart, thank you eternally

To my one friend through thick and thin
I can always count on to keep me level
I have to tell you I love you again
It won't be the last time I say it and mean it
Because you're the best friend I could ask for
Never doubted the trust, Pam
I'm glad I had the chance
To meet and keep you in my heart
May we never be completely apart

My message from Heaven
To each person I've said
And to the rest of my family
And those who have touched my heart
And blessed my life
On my last day I'd cry in tears what I can't say
And thank every last person
I love and thank you everyday

If ever
In life I were told in a whisper
I've got only one day
Left, and all the things I have to say
Must be told before I go
Away
What would I say, to let go? [comments] => 1 [counter] => 279 [topic] => 23 [informant] => calista [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => FamilyPoems )
