Array ( [sid] => 64502 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => hello stranger [time] => 2004-09-20 17:23:48 [hometext] => *shrugs* it came out kinda kewl....and it's true....i just got back in touch with this one guy......and it comes down to a good conclusion...lol [bodytext] => words cannot explain
the feelings i'm getting now
their so new but so old as well

it's been at least a year
maybe even two
since i heard that welcoming hello

i hear it loud and clear
yet i ask if he's still there
just to give myself a chance
to awaken from a dream
he laughs aloud and says "of course"

i say hello in an awkward
form
as if it was the first hello
i've ever said before

and so it all begins again
i'm talking to a stranger
telling him things a stranger
shouldn't know
and yet i feel compelled to tell
him everything i can.

it's the same as the first time
i said hello to him
yet different in it's own way

I knew him before
but it's been far too long
i must start all over again
and so something new begins
with a long forgotten past

and now i'm talking to a stranger
telling him things a stranger
shouldn't know
yet i'm so compelled
to tell him everything i can.

so that way i can sit here
and write this down for all the world to read

so every STRANGER that i KNOW
can read stuff about my life
they probably shouldn't read
and yet i feel compelled to tell
the world everything i can

so in closing i say this:
HELLO STRANGER [comments] => 9 [counter] => 228 [topic] => 43 [informant] => purplestary [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 7 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )
hello stranger

I loved this one. It was cute and witty there at the end. Isn't that why we come here? There is a wonder in being able to spill your guts without regret to people you have not yet met. Oops.

I was very impressed with this poem because it isn't one I see every day.

Inside we all probably long to say--hello to a stranger and that person be the love of our lives.

I thought you did a fantastic job on this one.

Kie
