A beatiful sky looking down on me
Bright and blue as could be
I smiled and asked
Is that you Lord

A fluffy white cloud floated by
As a mosaic against the sky
I took the picture in
I smiled and asked again
Is that you Lord

Just then a gentle breeze blew in
I felt His gentle touch against my skin
Within my soul He embraced me
I smiled and asked of He
Is that you Lord

At that moment a church bell chimed
A chill ran up and down my spine
Basked in the warmth of His sunshine
I smiled and shed an awestruck tear

Lying there I could see
A beatiful sky looking down on me
Bright and blue as could be

I like the way you maintained the flow of the poem and mixed up the rhyme pattern here. A very effective, creative write that I did truly enjoy. Amen !!!

I had to smile all the way to the end on this piece. I understand the simple soul lifting qualities explained by your poem. Most refreshing and delightful.
