travelin' all the time.
My man paints tall steel towers & poles,
the kids and I along for the ride.

I have a road family that travels too...
other brothers who do paint.
with one sister and her cat,
a typical family we ain't!

We don't linger in any one place to long;
no, we have no set groove.
The electric towers & poles get painted,
then we're again on the move.

Seen neverending forests and an ocean on this journey,
swamps and tall mountains too.
Many long travelled highways,
so many unforgettable views.

Been so many places now,
many unique characters I have met.
Lots and lots of beautiful faces ,
I will not soon forget.

Everyday is such an adventure!
Life on the road is wonderfully free.
I feel lucky to be apart of all of this,
living life...loving life with my gypsy family. I love to travel too... always thought I should have been a trucker... Lord knows I've got plenty of them in my family... but I'm happy just being an artist and a poet and a friend to everyone I meet... LOL
Take care...

My Grandmother was a gypsy so my mum always told me. They moved all over Australia when she was growing up. I live within 100km of where I was born and I haven't travelled much, lol, but it is a dream of mine. To have that freedom and all those experiences......One day. Great poem. Your man must have a good head for heights, but the views sometimes must be spectacular.
