In life you only fade
No point to ever stay
It'll all be taken away
When you die some day

The screams of silence
Trying to be defiant
Holding on while you try
To live your life
No matter how hard you try
You'll fall every time

You never saw the light
You could never find
A reason to live life
You're lost on sight
Trying to remember a time
When you were wanted
And not pushed to the side
When you weren't rejected
For who you were inside
You can no longer handle life
Couldn't hold on
No matter how hard you tried
Couldn't hold on
You fell for the last time [comments] => 7 [counter] => 156 [topic] => 48 [informant] => Essentially9 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )

My Dear,
Such a sad, heart touching write. Even when you do not have the power to hold on for yourself, There is ALWAYS someone else holding on to you to keep you from falling. Feel that persons gentle, yet secure grip.

Hugs,
The Voice

This says a lot to me because it's exactly how i feel most of the time it's amazing when you can't come up with the words to explain how you're feeling and then you come on this site and someone is able to do it for you! Good job!

Very beautiful. You bring the reader to where you are when you wrote it and those are the best poems of all. Great work!
