God's only begotten son
Who for joy set before him
Hung on a tree by his limbs

We know the history
We call it legend
Caught in philosophy
We miss his lesson

Our obligation ever stands with in his words
To see the lessons that seem very hard to learn

One is for the holy one
Who is God's begotten son
Loved beyond what we call for
to bring us unto his shore

Defunct was my way unto Jesus had found me
He rescued me from my desastrous surroundings
Teaching me how to o're come all my sin
Setting examples worth emmulation
Leaving unrest behind for transformation
That is why I sing of him
because he loves me.

One is for the one called christ
Who endured to save my life
Then was risen back to life
and gives man eternal live
don't forget his sacrifice
Everyday that you live
Don't forget his love
Everything that you do
Do it because love

I'm not sure about the poetic or song style as I am new to writing poetry. But I do very much like the message and the wording of the work. I have written a few religious/spiritual poems, but have been a little hesitant to submit them.

I don't realy know what to say about this song. I'm just glad that you have found Jesus Christ. I unfortunately haven't. I try and try over again ........ but nothing of importance seems to touch my heart. Well.... good write and keep up the good work!

I think this would make an AWESOME song, since I have on many occasions LISTENED to Christian music. But to those who haven't a clue would see this as "a poem." I think singing praises to the Lord makes me respect you all the more as a human being, and writing it out makes me all warm inside!!! 0:-) I can say my poem Temptaions Garden got the least reads of any of my poems. So my friend, you know what people like and don't! I admire your perseverence! KEEP IT UP!
Angel always...godspeed my friend...joni
