I wish I could box it, keep it forever.
I breathe in, memories flood my mind,
I wish I could hold you forever.

Box the memories,
slip in your scent in some potpourri mix.
Treasure it forever,
keep it together, don't let time play tricks.

I breathe in, it's brand new every breath,
I wish I could hold you forever close to me.
I breathe in, you keep me safe from death,
I wish you could see all I see.

Box the memories,
store up this tender, sweet treasure.
Give every moment
this gift of love beyond measure.

I breathe in, you keep breath in my body,
I wish you could know how I feel towards you.
I breathe in, you help hold me together,
I wish I could show my heart to you.

Box this gift you've given,
lingering scent, crystal clear memories inside.
Open it each day,
from the world, this I have to hide. [comments] => 2 [counter] => 164 [topic] => 24 [informant] => waos [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LoveRemembered )

I know this ritual. I soaked his box he kept his cufflinks and tie tacks in with his cologne and everytime walk in our room, I feel like he is there. It does give a sense of peace and closeness. Excellent write.
