[title] => I Don't Love or Hate You, Or: A Modern Hamlet
[time] => 2004-07-27 17:50:10
[hometext] => My Dad died, six months later my Mom remarried. A lot of anger and this poem resulted.
[bodytext] => I know it’s all okay This pain’s not here to stay ‘snot like this thing I feel Is really all that bad This isn’t really anger It’s more like an unrest That makes me want to hold you And pound my fists on your chest And I don’t really miss him Just once or twice a night If he was here you wouldn’t kiss him ‘cause you’ve moved on and you’re all right I’m not sayin’ this is your fault And I can act like an adult But if you really loved him Can’t you cry a little longer? I don’t want you to suffer I know you had things rougher If you think I should forget him Then I can be a little tougher I don’t hate you mom, but I don’t love you now And the way you’re acting wont always keep me down One day these wounds will heal and the cuts will seal And I wont be around to remind you of what you did If you can’t respect the dead, don’t you expect To be loved by the living.
