This is a chronicle of the latter [bodytext] => Now I’m creeping
Making my own shadows
And what do I see
Smell or otherwise
Overly or less inclined
But behold
A table that grows old
My wishes are in it
Its finished with tears
Promise varnish
Tarnished
And screams sneak up
Behind me
In lines across my forehead
With the nonetheless night bulb
Spotlighting
Perhaps otherwise pointing out
That I should wise up
Straighten up and answer
The knocking door
Me isn’t even here anymore
I’m making my own shadows
Busy late night nothening
To coin a phrase
Change in my pockets
Buffalo nickels at my hips
I dreamed of chocolate melting
Beautifully in summertime
And my curls stretched every which way
Heaven
Over my shoulder running between my legs
In the click of my bracelets
Making far shadows hidden behind couches
And liquor bottles and
Look out for me now
Stretching out my own sunset shadow
Punctured with lightning bugs
And hell made me forget how to draw a hopscotch board
And more money
Keeps calling my name
The mall whispers a sad lonely jingle
That keeps on spinning its wheels
On and on and all year long
Weaving in and out of season
Things of fate are tough leathery
Fake
Even reality is a coincidental
Illusion
Existence resides independently
In separate entities colliding
Making their own shadows across the flat paint sky
And I. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 239 [topic] => 21 [informant] => frohemiasweetie [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Lifepoems )

OH my word, this is amazing! I absolutely love it. And it reminds me so much of some of the things I've written before. Not any of the things I've posted here... But you know. All the whimsical ideas that couldn't be expressed any other way...
Crap, that was just one awesome awesome write. You're very talented!

Reading on,
Ellen
