The creatures of fire thrive.
In high volcanoes they surface for air,
In molten earth they dive.

Cloked in darkness, hidden in shadow,
Fear, the dragon brings.
There's nowhere to run or hide
After hearing their thund'rous wings.

Winged and fanged, scaled and clawed,
Partnering with death,
Destroying life and civ'lization
With just one fiery breath.

Forests burn, people scream,
Smoke rises to the sky.
These ghastly monsters are now pleased,
Spreading wings to fly.

Finally finished with their rampage
And their time of fun as well,
They soar to the volcanoes
And return to fiery Hell. [comments] => 4 [counter] => 165 [topic] => 40 [informant] => Egyptian_Smudge [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 17 [ratings] => 4 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => fantasy )
