Part of me is saying to not open up.
And to not jump in so fast,
To sit in the silence and keep my gob shut!
AND TAKE IT AS IT COMES.

While the rest of me is ready to dive,
And grab it with both hands,
I am aware that it might end in tears,
But most of what I have are just rotting strands.

Suddenly I’m filled with excitement,
It’s a bubbly, rushing feeling.
Though there are the down side effects,
I am numb! Because I’m still not healing!

I have blood thickening emotions,
Churning inside of me,
And that mixed pain,
Is suddenly fading away.

Part of me is saying to not open up.
And to not jump in so fast,
To sit in the silence and keep my gob shut!
AND TAKE IT AS IT COMES.

While the rest of me is ready to dive,
And grab it with both hands,
I am aware that it might end in tears,
But most of what I have are just rotting strands.

i understand what you are going through. i think it is up to you to decide on if you should take risks or not. but your poetry shows great thoughts.
