An intricate maze of solitude filled with love
and happiness.
Heavenly peace and love are there.
It's a place where I have been before.
Near death is when I first visited this place.
My pace is slow when I visit its corridors.
Loving solitude's place is at the labyrinth's
opening.
Green fields of my soul lay before me,
and oh, what a wonderful feeling of love.
My retreat is a special gift from Him above.
Whenever I want to escape this hideous
world, I go there.
It's a place where I'll be forever,
oneday.
And hey, can't wait till I get there.
One day He'll call and say,
Come on son, I'm waiting for you!
I'll be there to hold your hand. [comments] => 4 [counter] => 209 [topic] => 11 [informant] => GeorgeJamesDelgado [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => ChristianPoetry )

I think you and I are somewhat alike. Sometimes I feel close and other times, so far from God. I know it's sin that remains with me that causes the time of estrangment. I go to our little church to cut grass or repair something, and I've found it so peaceful there, just sitting in a pew with no-one else around. Very good poem; by the way.God bless you.

Lionel;
Thanks again for your kind comment. I surely do appreciate your kind words of understanding. I was almost killed in an industrial accident back in 1992, and I felt the love of heaven. There is nothing to be afraid of when our time comes. I felt the wonderful feeling of eternal rest and the permanent release of fear, heartbreak and pain. I tell you Lionel, it was just wonderful...wonderful!
