tempting, taunting...

pleading
with
me.

And it terrifies me,
the things I could do.
This suicidal me,
can you erase me too?

And I want your pain to end,
I'd do anything for you to be free;
free of me.
Let's keep you from this dead end.

Crimson answer,
tender pain.
Stretching tendon,
scarred, stretched, again.
It's been so long,
like tender friends we parted.
And I dream of the day
that this path first started.

Hand me the razor
or hand me the pills;
hand me the answer,
to save me 'til pain stills.

SCREAM IN THE HORROR,
THIS AWFUL TERROR.
Open wound, stilled pain;
it terrifies me once again.

As I imagine this crimson strain
floating before my eyes,
I hear in some other time
your tempting, echoing lies.
And I dance in the dreams of pain
that tie me to this earth.
And I long for the ties that bind me
to release me of false worth.

Hand me the razor
or hand me the pills;
hand me the answer,
to save me 'til pain stills.

And the moment soon approaches
where all shall be set free.
I'll float away in this sordid tale
of all that was once me.
I'll watch as the blood flow increases,
soaking my hand, dripping to the sheet.
I'll look until my eyesight fades,
do you understand, someday we'll meet.

But if you hand me the razor,
or hand me the pills;
I'll find me an answer,
that my heartbeat stills. [comments] => 4 [counter] => 200 [topic] => 36 [informant] => waos [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Suicide )
