Array ( [sid] => 51763 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Boogie Man [time] => 2004-06-13 17:12:22 [hometext] => When I was little I used to pull the covers all the way over my head when I went to sleep and then I’d be very, very scared when I woke up in the middle of the night and found that I had kicked them off. I had an exceedingly strong belief in monsters. [bodytext] => A feeling of panic sweeps up from my feet
and brings a cool draft along with it
the night is so black and I’m so alone
I’m so afraid I’ll stop breathing
it’s hands feel so wet as it touches my spine
and whispers in my ears words I can’t understand
I can tell it’s smiling though my face is pressed to my pillow
and I’m trying so hard not to make sound as I weep
tears are spilling down onto the bed
and I’ve drenched through layers
on the other side of the mattress
and me and by bed are falling to infinity
I’m so afraid just to look up
it’s moving closer to me now
and silently laughing
it knows I can hear it and it’s feeding off my fear
I’m so tired of it coming for me night after night
I really don’t like the boogie man [comments] => 3 [counter] => 313 [topic] => 13 [informant] => InnerBeautyQueen [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )

Good poem! lol Ya i use to be afraid of monsters too! I use to lay really still in the middle of my bed because I was afraid the monsters would reach their hands up from under the bed and grab me. lol. I remember those good old days.
