If I took my life?
Would you be in despair?
Would you just talk about my strife?

Would you remember me for me?
Or just that person you wanted me to be?
Would you ever accept who I really was?
Or would you just dwell on all my flaws?

Would you remember my smiles?
Or remember my tears?
Would you think of my laughter?
Or of all of my fears?

Would my death help you see my pain?
Would it show you all the tears I couldn’t contain?
Would you see all the hurt you caused?
If I were gone would your life even pause?

Would everyone know that I loved them?
Would they know that I truly cared?
Would they know that what kept me going
Were the great memories we shared?

Would everyone remember me?
Would they hold me deep in their hearts?
Would they see that I’m finally free?
Would they realize I couldn’t make a new start? [comments] => 5 [counter] => 167 [topic] => 36 [informant] => longhorngal [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Suicide )

this is a touchy subject for me and I will tell you that killing yourself would be a huge mistake chin up and move on people who wont take you for who you are arent worth a damn anyway as far as people who love you iof you were to kill yourself you would crush every single person still living do you really want to do that?

I know that if you did, the world would be deprived of a lot of good poetry. You have a great gift. Not many can write, and even less can write poetry. You can.
Take care and be strong. Better days always come.

Very good write, I liked the poem. Thank you for sharing.

As to the subject, as human nature goes, we are remembered as long as we are in sight, once out we are forgotten. That is as it should be. Only those missed are the ones who are suddenly stolen from us, not by their choice but fate. Those who leave by their own choice are forgotten faster than most.

Its the way human are you know.
