straight out of...)

these feelings will never die
just comatically sleep
it seems to me the pattern repeats
we've been here before

(your absence will be
a tattooed reminder
of my emotional masochism
and i'd thank you for the scars
but i made them all myself)

help me believe
the tears i'll shed
and fill that painful silence
with the violent noise
of two hearts tearing apart

(each teary embrace
will be a silent movie in our minds
recalled less and less
as we follow paths we couldn't share)

that final kiss
your lips so warm
like a bleeding heart
and we tentatively touched
with cold fingers
that were losing their familiarity

(feels like) i'm losing my mind
(feels like) i'm losing everything

(and we stood in my Wasteland
facing each other and walking backwards
farther and farther apart
until we each disappeared
into the tear-blurred horizon of the other)

and our whispered goodbyes
will meet in the dark space between
making love on the bed of our loss
and giving birth to our stillborn heartache
whose dead tears will fill the ocean of memories
that we will slowly drown in
everyday
for the rest of our li(v)es

wow I think my heart just skipped a beat this was friggin so good wow. Oddly enough I think this would make for a good music video. I don't know why but that thought was running through my mind as I read it for the second time. This whole poem screamed perfection and I th ink I shall shut up now.

returned here once again like a dog returns to his abusive master... once again this poem blew me away. I don't even know what to say so i'll just bow in gratitude i guess.
