Dark and painful
Can you feel it?
Brought about
By your own free will.

Spoken words
Echo in the morning.
Bleeding heart
Is left out to die.

Why do you always do this to you?
Why do you always break away?
Why do you always let them hurt and stab you?
And why do you have nothing left to say?

Don’t you see that things, must change?
Can you see that you, must change -
Before it is too late.

Anguished thoughts
Are now occupying,
Every moment
Of your day.

You can hear
The close of the door.
Now your heart
Has been shut away.

Why can’t you let anyone inside you?
Why do you push them all away?
Why can’t you see the love inside you?
And why do you never stop and stay?

Don’t you see that things, must change?
Can you see that you, must change –
Before it is too late?

I applaud the realization. Seeing one's faults is half the way toward fixing them. But the second half is a real struggle. Well I know it.
I think we can only become really better by giving up living for ourselves, and giving to others. I believe True Love is selflessness, and that loving is truly living. So reach for love. The real thing, the choice, the giving of oneself, not just that wayward feeling most of us call love.
Blessings to you.
Andrew

another good poem. I like your style, and the way you express yourself.
