Gloom, despair,
Hate and agony,
Miserable, scared.

Light blockaded
By hopeless thoughts.
Doomed to distress,
Bitterly fought.

Throbbing anguish,
Screaming grief,
Thrashing torment,
Fleeing relief.

Silent desperation
Tragic affliction
Terrible mortification
Deathly depression.

Merciless pain
Ferocious feelings
Leave me raw
In search of healing.

There's consciousness
Of light inside.
How long in darkness
Will I reside? [comments] => 7 [counter] => 282 [topic] => 13 [informant] => eatfresh22 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 30 [ratings] => 6 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )

Carrie, how dare you feel down? I forbid it! Now get back to being happy.
Very vivid picture here. Well done, Meldë.

Oh, don't worry, the Lord will pull you through and you're in "darkness" for a reason that only He really knows. Honestly, I dont think it matters whether or not we understand why. The only one that needs to know why anything is how it is? Him. He's got a purpose and you'll understand once you reach heaven. I know you'll be alright.
Great poem though.
Bravo, encore with that pen and paper.
Love,
Chelsea
