Searching for my destination
Quietly hovering above the ground
Why do I not feel the grass beneath my feet?

I see a stranger in the dark
He looks right through me
Why can’t he see?
In his face, no acknowledgement
Of my presence
What ignorance!

Desperation seeps into my soul
Where am I going?
Where have I been?
I think I know who I am
My memory is fading fast

I don’t understand
Why can I not feel the wind on my face?
Smell the rain in the air?
Silence surrounds me
I can’t hear my own heartbeat
Am I breathing?

I’ve found my destination
My beautiful garden filled with love
At last I understand
I am at peace now
Calm and still
I am free

For lack of phraseology it seems like you're dead, this is a great poem nonetheless. I like the fourth stanza best.

This is slightly different for you Ali, but great none the less. I like your imagery and descriptions.
Does the poem mean you're dead?? I like the first stanza best.
This is an excellent poem Ali, well done

Love Dawny x
