Right now though, it's all looking better. [bodytext] => People called me the teacher’s pet,
The nerd, even the geek,
I always knew the answers to the questions
Before the teachers got to speak.
I did my homework, said my prayers,
Smiled as you passed me by,
Asked how your week was going,
Even though I knew that you’d just sigh.
I was the one who ran the taxi service,
Who took everyone, every where,
I was the one who refused to give up
When the rest refused to care.
I was the eternal optimist
The one who never missed a beat,
The one that you could never seem
To knock off of her feet.
I was the one who got under your skin,
And helped you pass the grade,
And now that you are through with me,
I received loneliness in spades.
