Array ( [sid] => 46850 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => coming back [time] => 2004-05-09 23:49:14 [hometext] => it started off as a touching love scrawl, then i got a bit side tracked [bodytext] => though i'm no longer with you
my eyes will never leave you
my thoughts will be the roses that you love

and though my arms no longer hold you
i will never let go of you
even though i'm finally gone

each drop of rain that finds you
will be a kiss from me
and each flower that you nurse to life
will be the smile you found in me

though many things will change for you
now that i have died
please don't forget the love we shared
and the part of me inside you

each star that shines on you in sleep
will be my grinning yellowed teeth
leering from beyond

i'm still with you

and each noise you hear
while alone in the dark
will be my ghost
searching for a knife to grasp
so that i may bring you with me

the footsteps that follow you at night
are my screaming memories
yearning to take back what is mine
you belong to me

so rest easy tonight my darling
for i am coming home
my mouth full of maggots
and greedy beetles chewing through my face

and when your eyes fly open
as my brittle hands find your throat
i want you to open your mouth and try to scream
so that my half-eaten tongue
can't find yours for a kiss

and when they find you in the morning
face blue and covered in dirt
i know they'll find a smile upon your face
because i've been watching
and i know you've been waiting
for me to come and take you home [comments] => 4 [counter] => 186 [topic] => 13 [informant] => Cancer [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 9 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )

Yes, sidetracked... I hate when that happens.
Very morbid write.
I enjoyed it.
