I sit in my room
Pastels on the floor
Coffee in my cup
Old
Cold
Not sweet

I sit there and paint
With coffee
And q-tip

Pastels on the floor
2 cans of diet soda to sip

I don’t have a canvas
Just drawing paper
Random inspiration
Odd behavior

My oil pastels thrown about my room
It looks like they were victims of a typhoon

I think about how I need to buy
A canvas and oils and paint brushes
Oh my

The costs of art
Can go sky high

Coming to the conclusion of this art haze
My ghetto painting
Left me amazed

I sat there and stared at an elephant
It was beautiful
100%

So now I use everything in my art
Nothing is thrown away
Not a single part

I’ve become a clean pack rat
For art is in the air
Art, not me, is the owner of my lair

You are ALWAYS nice John, ALWAYS. In a world filled with such cruelty, you are greatly welcomed. You always bring everyone such joy. You are so sweet.

Hearts,
Randi
