[hometext] => My grandfather (I call him Papa) has given me the greatest insights into life that I will ever have. It seems strange to me that in my generation people ignore the older people in society, aren't they the ones who have lived the longest, worked the hardest, and are ultimately, the wisest? So this is for you Papa, hope you enjoy it.
[bodytext] => When I look into your eyes
I see pictures of heaven. Long walks down golden streets, And St. Peter guarding the entrance. I see mansions and loved ones And old country rivers That wind and trickle A soft melody, Along with meadows and wild animals, I see a wide front porch with old stories That are told and passed down, And disagreements that are settled Over a pot of coffee, or tea, Not by guns and fists and knives. I see heaven in your eyes. Maybe it's just that your generation Has embedded itself into the way I see my life. But, Papa let me tell you something, When you tell me those stories around the kitchen table, And listen to me as I weave tales And share in my achievements And applaud me no matter what I do, I know that I can see Jesus in you. And I know that he would be proud That heaven is reflected in your eyes.
