Array ( [sid] => 45355 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => It's The End of The World and All I Got Was This Lousy T-Shirt? [time] => 2004-04-29 02:12:16 [hometext] => Just a collection of thoughts I had today... nothing extravagant...none of it even rhymes, but it's an outpouring of emotions and ideas...and i felt i needed to share it... [bodytext] => Life is a series of downs
Until your six feet underground
A series of bad days, makes for one big miserable-
Holiday for everyone to mourn.

When no one is willing to be there for you,
Why should you stick around for any of them?
It's a game of chance
Spin the wheel, see where it lands.

But in the game of poker-
You dont win the jackpot until you have a full house
So whats the point?
When you keep getting dealt horrible hands?

I wanna be able to fall backwards
And know someone is going to catch me
But Just once, I want someone else
To fall backwards and hit concrete.

I wish I could breath in something other then pain
Bleed something other then hate
Sleep in something better then loneliness.

So many nights I lay in bed
I drift off to sleep thinking about grabbing the gun
Just to put it under my pillow
So that I know its there.

Continually wishing for those nights
When its under my pillow
That the trigger would slip.
Who's gonna want me?

Thought poets were different
They knew how I felt, but they dont
They hurt and abuse and mistreat
And hate and make you bitter and unhappy.

There is no good anywhere.
I dont have anything to live for.
One big disappointment after another
I hate it, I hate faith, I hate life, I hate friends, I hate family, I hate Love...

Love is everything or nothing
Hands shaking like a double-edged sword
I fear love the most
No matter how much everyone wants it
It does more damage then anything else
And all my chances are fading.

Love is beautiful or bittersweet
Love can make you or break you
It can give you faith or take it all away
I wish it was so easy, I wish someone understood.

I could never live with a guilty consciencous
To know I took away someones ability to breath
To know I deprived them of their only reason to live
I want what nay normal person wants.

I dont want to be like everyone else
I dont want to depend on materialistic things before people
I want pure genuine human contact
But this has all made me anti social.

Scary how ironic it all is.
Something about life that has never made sense to me...

Why do people who want something, always end up last to get it?

Technicality means nothing in the face of raw emotion and thoughts captured--and this has it in spades. This is as pure of emotion as i've ever read, and rhymes don't matter...this is a work of emotional art, painted by a beautiful yet troubled mind. Also, i happen to find it all incredibly relatable. I absolutely love it.

Truly,
-V.S.

Thankfully, I've never had a day like this - and I hope I never will. This kind of angst-scourge-hate-die-alone? lament makes me appreciate my own blessings all the more.
Unstoppable and wrenching.
Something to think about . . .

wow, i had a day like this just recently. its good that you're getting your thoughts out. because keeping them locked inside doesnt help at all. i found out the hard way.

i know you wont think i do, but i do know how you feel. thoughts very similar to this always seem to go through my mind. i think what im trying to say is: your not alone, even if it does feel that way. i also know that when people say this to me i do not believe it. so what im saying is, if you do want to chat or anything, pm me, or msn me or something. because it helps to talk.

feel better soon. phil x

beautifully done..rhymes?..unnecessary..in truth, it would detract from the flow..as an added thought, when i funk out on the system, the question i ask is...why are there more people in the rewards line than in the responsibility line?..yeh, i know how you feel..
