Array ( [sid] => 45282 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => can you see? [time] => 2004-04-28 18:19:33 [hometext] => another confused summary of my thoughts....constructive criticism appreciated [bodytext] => are you looking close enough ?
can you see the hurt hidden behind these eyes?
pain from a thousand knives could not compare,
real or not, this pain is still there,

this life is becoming a poison,
and i'm waiting for it to kill me,
tortuous agony,
am i powerful enough to survive this?
life's hidden beauty...

can you see this smile?
can you tell it is not real?
hiding my fears behind a mask,
trying so hard to disguise these happy lies,
wanting so much to run from the truth,
but tired of pretending i'm someone i'm not

i'm feeling pulled apart,
torn in two..
running for the light,
but part of the dark...
i can't find the real me...
can you help me see
through the blood in my eyes....

i feel dead while im alive... [comments] => 8 [counter] => 166 [topic] => 61 [informant] => lostinmyself [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 19 [ratings] => 4 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => selfstruggles )

Awesome poem, I can definitely relate. Love the comparison between life and poison. Very original, I like this a lot.

Just be yourself. Just be the person God created you to be. He loves you just the way you are. You will find the real you and the future He has waiting for you.

Doesn't come across as confusing at all, in fact you describe it very well. Impressive write.

You really feeling this way or just relating how you have felt? So much here. I hope it's another catharsis. Some very cool imagery.
