and no one is there? Look at
the guy in front of you, disguised
as a friend with feelings greater than
I could possibly put into words.
Can you not sense his eloquence,
his creative mind that strives to
perfect anything and everything for you?
Bowing away as a gentleman he
does not want confusion and heartbreak;
instead he resides patiently
awaiting your decision.
Can you not feel his resolve?
Your beauty is such that he
shall never find again;
the agony caused by your
intrusion into his thoughts is
as welcome as the ecstasy that
overwhelms him when he is near you.
To know you better, to understand you
is what he yearns for;
Can you not grant him this simple
privilege that his heart desires?

Your poem described secret longing, reflection and unanswered questions.
