I can still remember the touch of your skin upon mine?
How come after all this time,
I can still remember the love that I held for you?
How come after all this time,

How come after all this time
I can look around my room and think of you?
How come after all this time
I can still remember the look that you gave me when we were sitting together?
How come after all this time
I remember it all?

Nice write. It's really hard to lose someone and still remember so much. Keep writing.

It is hard to get over someone and move on. Just because you aren't with them anymore doesn't mean the memories go away. The memories are haunting. It has been 5 years for me and finally I can feel my life starting again. The memories don't go away but in time they fade and your heart becomes ready to love someone new. Or at least that is the theory.

Very emotional poem that I enjoyed reading very much.

Kie

i hope that we can all love someone else after someone has hurt us (even if it was unentionally) your poem speaks of the pain that you seem to be forever suffering. i hope that one day you can love someone else like the love that you held for the person this poem is about. with all the memories we hold of a person close to us when we are no longer with them, we still think of them and it hurts to think we are without them never to share these memories again. i am having to deal with that at the moment too. kep writing for you are good and your poems are inspriational.
