The rustle of cats and a little brother
Linger in the next room
Everything in disarray, the furniture
Out of its natural order
So many occurences, all the distractions
And all I see is your face
In the dim glow of the tv
So peaceful and serene as you lie sleeping
I trace the lines that grace the outer corners of Your lips
Indented from years of smiles
I memorize each line, every freckle
The way your eyelashes caress the light
Casting barely visisble shadows on your cheeks
In a moment with so many thoughts, so many Worries, all melts away in the presence of your Serenity
And although we are not speaking, it is in the Quietest of moments that we share so much [comments] => 3 [counter] => 156 [topic] => 2 [informant] => evryrose [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 4 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LovePoetry )

What a sweet, intimate poem, a zen flow set within the familiar suburban context, a still study within the cacophany of the modern family. This poem says to me that beauty is where you seek it, and you found it. Beautiful depiction and expression. And who said there's nothing good on the TV!
