Array ( [sid] => 42125 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => My demon [time] => 2004-04-07 03:09:51 [hometext] => This poem is not only about the demon herself, but also the trivialness of love itself [bodytext] => I sit across a table from you
I look into your eyes
I see your fear
You know I found your lies
I have been played
Many times before
Each one before you
was shown the door
But for reasons
I don't know
I can't let myself
Let you go
Is it love?
What a trivial thought
Give you the boot
I know I ought
But your still here
Not six feet away
With my cold heart
You tryed to play
Then I think,
When will they learn?
For nothing physical
My body yourns
My mind is no toy
My heart not as well
So any who try
Can go to hell
But here you sit
So close to me
I thought you were smart
Yet your too dumb to flee
I hate your ignorence
I hate your smile
I knew you played
All this while
You look dumbfounded
Told to expect me screamin
But how could I?
In the face of my demo [comments] => 5 [counter] => 194 [topic] => 6 [informant] => Crash [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => AngryPoetry )

I really enjoyed reading this...interesting take on how love can suck us in even when it's not doing any good. Well-written and raw with emotion. In short, it rocks :)
