Ridding myself of both hope and denial.
Cross-examinating the feelings inside me,
the love that I feel, how strong can it be?

That I love you is beyond any reasonable doubt,
but I still have to wonder what I'm thinking about.
I've felt the strongest emotion that I can recall,
but the time that I've known you is not long at all.

It may be a long time until we meet again.
When that day arrives, will I still feel this pain?
Can this be the punishment from above,
for the crime I've committed, for falling in love?

You are the judge and the jury of all.
I am at trial, standing there small,
awaiting to hear the sentence on me.
I cling to my lawyer, how harsh can it be? [comments] => 4 [counter] => 159 [topic] => 22 [informant] => gothicangel [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LostLove )
