into the plethora of gratifying liberation.
Inherent in me is the will to be unchained
Even as the water becomes effervescent
Dispatching bubbles to hasten past my
fingertips.
Where is the release? It is in me as you know
Never stopping for a breather, or even pausing
to make sure I am alright.
For I am more than alright,
I am indestructible, I am stronger
than ten savages combined
And in knowing this, the water parts
in all its saxe-blue glory and sun-tinged rays
To forge a path for me to march upon.
They may call me headstrong or bleedingly inane
Like a butterfly crossing a tarantula or
a fish swimming to its death in sweltering lava.
I am aware of all this and more
But it is inevitable, this awakening in me
A Sleeping Beauty of the roguish kind.
They christen me a witless imbecile, blinded by
society's phantom of acceptance.
I say I am vital to myself and those around me
Revelling in rebellion and anything is possible.
I am me and you are you, broken by the splinters
But I defied you to walk the plank and dive
into a mass of freedom and self-discovery.
Going down evermore yet ascending above the rest
I am sure I have found my home
All is well, and endurance sells.

Oh my gosh, I feel like I preach this constantly. I don't understand why everyone insists on blaming life or God for their problems. We are in control of how our lives turn out and the type of person we choose to be. It is all basically our choice and our problems are generally of our own making. Just seems no one wants to take the blame for anything. Great write and message.

Rainbows,
Rita

Right on, very strong and it blends so well.

liberate the robots, lol. Self-discovery can be very hard, but such insight can be gained.

Loved it

Bravo for your spirit and self enthusiasm. Refreshing indeed to see the spirit of the young and the unrestrained belief in self and determination. Greatly inspirational work here...I like it, quite.

But perchance a lesson from a veteran of positive thoughts and freedom's notions. Yes we choose our own paths and make our own way but do not underestimate the tidings of fate and circumstance. we have choices but limited to the ones we can take... we make our own way.. but limited atop the roads open and not closed for a procession or federal holiday. okay okay not to rain on your parade...but I am the ultimate pessimist and I get ticked off seeing people so happy and spry...but really in essence for your work to rile my grumpy self this way...it must truly be touching and great...
